Playing Nest at the NYC Arcade (NYU Game Center), Dec. 2015
Wow, it’s been a really long time since I’ve updated. I’m still here!
I’ve been making big changes to Nest, but these updates have been spread across the last year, mostly because I got busy with finishing grad school and with work.
I quietly brought Nest to the NYC Arcade last week, an event put on by The Sheep’s Meow and hosted at the NYU Game Center. The turnout was great! I got amazing feedback on the new version of Nest.
The overall gameplay feels similar, but I’ve changed the basic rules of the game, and there are some new mechanics. (You lay eggs and can steal eggs–I’ll expand on this soon in another post). The updates were made to emphasize online-multiplayer over local multiplayer.
I’m excited about the updates I’ve made and the updates to come. The game is coming along nicely. In other news, the Nest arcade cab will be back on show in NYC and on the road to MAGfest in 2016!
